When I need a fast party snack that feels a little more fun than the usual chips-and-dip situation, I love leaning on a simple air fryer appetizer like this. It uses just a few easy ingredients, takes almost no prep, and hits that salty, creamy, crispy combination people always reach for first on the snack table.

Serve these warm with ranch dressing, spicy mayo, or a little extra softened cream cheese for dipping. They also pair really well with other finger foods like buffalo wings, deviled eggs, a veggie tray, or a simple charcuterie board, especially if you want a low carb spread for game day or casual weekend get-togethers.

Low Carb 3-Ingredient Bacon-Wrapped Pickles

Finished bacon-wrapped pickles on a platter

Ingredients

8 dill pickle spears, patted dry

4 oz cream cheese, softened
8 slices thin-cut bacon

Directions

1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Pat the dill pickle spears very dry with paper towels so the cream cheese and bacon will stick better.

2. Spread softened cream cheese over each pickle spear, coating one cut side generously but neatly.

3. Wrap each cream cheese-covered pickle spear with 1 slice of thin-cut bacon, overlapping slightly as needed so most of the pickle is covered. Place them seam-side down.

4. Arrange the wrapped pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between them. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the bacon is browned and crisp, turning once halfway through if needed for even cooking.

5. Let them cool for 2 to 3 minutes before serving, since the filling will be hot. Serve warm for the best texture.

Variations & Tips

Make-ahead tip: You can assemble these a few hours ahead, cover, and refrigerate until you're ready to air fry. This is one of my favorite ways to keep party prep manageable on a busy day.

Crispier bacon: Thin-cut bacon works best here because it cooks through quickly before the pickles soften too much. If your bacon is a little thicker, add a couple extra minutes and keep an eye on it.

Easy flavor boost: If you want to bend the 3-ingredient rule a little, stir a pinch of garlic powder, black pepper, or chopped jalapeños into the cream cheese before spreading for extra flavor.

Serving tip: If the pickles seem extra juicy after cooking, rest them briefly on paper towels before plating. That helps keep the bacon crisp and makes them easier to pick up for snacking.
