1 whole chuck roast, 3 1/2 to 4 pounds
1 packet ranch seasoning mix, about 1 ounce
1 packet au jus gravy mix, about 1 ounce
1/2 cup unsalted butter, 1 stick
6 to 8 pepperoncini peppers
Directions
1. Pat the chuck roast dry with paper towels and place it whole in the bottom of the slow cooker insert.
2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and the au jus gravy mix evenly over the top of the roast.
3. Place the butter on top of the seasoned roast and scatter the pepperoncini peppers around and over it.
