Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Fall-Apart Beef Brisket

Ingredients
1 whole beef brisket flat, about 4 to 5 pounds
1 large onion, sliced
1 packet dry onion soup mix, about 1 ounce
2 cups beef broth
Directions
1. Place the sliced onion in the bottom of a white slow cooker insert, then set the whole brisket flat on top.
2. Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the brisket, then pour the beef broth around and partly over the meat.
3. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, or until the brisket is very tender and pulls apart easily with a fork.
4. Transfer the brisket to a cutting board, let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes, then slice against the grain or shred and spoon some of the cooking juices over the top before serving.
Variations & Tips
Add garlic: If you want a little more depth, add 4 to 6 whole garlic cloves around the brisket before cooking. They soften into the broth and make the finished juices taste richer.
