When you need a fast party snack that feels a little unexpected, this sweet-and-savory crunchy bite is hard to beat. It comes together in minutes with pantry-friendly ingredients, and it is especially useful when you want something festive without turning on the oven for long. The trick is balancing just enough melted butter to help the coating cling while keeping the texture light and crisp.
Serve these alongside other easy finger foods such as cheese cubes, spiced nuts, veggie sticks with dip, or a simple charcuterie board. They also pair nicely with hot apple cider, coffee, or a cold sparkling drink, and because they are richest when freshly made, they fit best as a day-of snack for game nights, movie nights, and holiday gatherings.
Low Carb 3-Ingredient Cinnamon Churro Pork Rinds
Servings: 4
Ingredients
3 oz plain pork rinds
3 tbsp butter, melted
3 tbsp cinnamon sweetener blend
Directions
1. Preheat an air fryer to 350°F, or if using the stovetop method described here, warm a large dry skillet over low heat and line a tray or plate for holding the coated pork rinds.
2. Place the plain pork rinds in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle in the melted butter a little at a time, tossing gently after each addition, until the rinds look lightly glossy but not wet or heavy.
3. While the butter is still fresh on the surface, sprinkle in the cinnamon sweetener blend and toss again until the coating evenly clings to the rinds.
4. Transfer the coated pork rinds to the air fryer basket or to the warm skillet in a single loose layer. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes at 350°F, just until the coating looks set and the rinds are crisp and fragrant. Shake the basket once, or stir very gently in the skillet if needed.
5. Serve immediately or let cool for a minute or two before transferring to a bowl or tray. They are best the day they are made, while the coating is crisp and the texture is still airy.
Variations & Tips
Air Fryer Shortcut: If you prefer, skip the skillet entirely and use the air fryer from start to finish. The quick blast of heat helps the coating set fast, and shaking once halfway through keeps the rinds from sticking together.
Butter Control: Add the melted butter gradually rather than all at once. Pork rinds need only a light coating to grab the cinnamon blend, and too much butter can weigh them down and make them lose their crisp texture.
Spicier Holiday Version: Add a pinch of cayenne or chili powder to the cinnamon sweetener blend for a sweet-heat snack with a little extra personality. Keep the amount modest so the warming spice supports the cinnamon instead of overpowering it.
Make-Today Advice: These are at their best within hours of making them. For a party, prepare them the same day and leave them uncovered until serving so the coating stays dry and crisp.
