This playful Halloween dessert leans on a surprising shortcut: frozen cheese ravioli turned into a crisp, sweet treat with just a few pantry staples. The contrast of creamy filling, tender pasta, and a crunchy sugary coating makes it memorable, and the sheet pan method keeps it especially easy for parties, movie nights, or last-minute themed gatherings when you want something a little unexpected.
Serve these dessert ravioli warm with chocolate sauce, caramel, or a simple dusting of powdered sugar. For a Halloween spread, pair them with orange-tinted whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or bowls of candy corn and chocolate chips so guests can build their own plates.
4-Ingredient Oven Baked Halloween Dessert Ravioli
Servings: 4 to 6
Ingredients
1 bag solid unthawed frozen cheese ravioli (about 20 ounces)
4 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and lightly grease a large sheet pan or line it with parchment for easier cleanup.
2. Spread the solid unthawed frozen cheese ravioli in a single layer on the sheet pan. Drizzle with the melted butter and toss gently so the ravioli are lightly coated.
3. In a small bowl, stir together the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the buttered ravioli, then turn them once or twice so the coating sticks on all sides as much as possible.
4. Bake for 14 to 18 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the ravioli are puffed, lightly golden, and slightly crisp around the edges.
5. Let cool for 3 to 5 minutes before serving so the filling can settle slightly. Transfer to a plate and serve warm as a Halloween dessert snack.
Variations & Tips
Chocolate finish: Drizzle the warm baked ravioli with melted chocolate or serve with chocolate hazelnut spread on the side for dipping. The creamy cheese filling works surprisingly well with chocolate, almost like a shortcut dessert crepe.
Halloween look: Add orange and black sprinkles right after baking while the buttered coating is still warm, or serve on a platter with candy eyes for a festive party presentation.
Extra crisp texture: Make sure the ravioli are in a single layer with space between them so they roast instead of steam. Turning them halfway through baking helps both sides brown more evenly.
Sweeter coating: If you want more of a churro-style finish, toss the hot baked ravioli in a little extra cinnamon sugar as soon as they come out of the oven.
Watch the timing: Different brands of frozen ravioli vary in thickness, so start checking a bit early. You want the edges lightly crisp and golden, not deeply browned, since the sugar can darken quickly.
